This guy’s beer belly has a slightly different story:

belly10n-2-web

This is John Macdonald, an Australian fisherman. While he was fishing he dropped his beer in the Brisbane River, Queensland but totally drank it anyway because you don’t waste beer. Even if it’s mostly dirty river water…

From nydailynews:  “Hours after consuming its contents, the grandfather started suffering violent stomach pains.

His gut also ballooned to several times its size.

Macdonald has undergone several surgeries to remove the constantly returning growth. He’s also endured courses of strong antibiotics.

But nothing seems to stop the growth, and doctors are baffled as to what the condition actually is.”

Hope they find a cure for that certifiable badass!

    That’s good advice.

Wow, and I thought I had a problem. At least if I drop a beer into the river, I’d let it go.

  • Steve Bashakis

I’ve done it with Southern California lake water, no growth yet, as far as I know! Never tried it with the ocean water here but I think at that point I would just cut my losses and let the fish have it!

  • sure thing the heat will kill the river bacteria (i think)

If you drop a doob in it, can you dry it out and still smoke it?

Sometimes you just have to let one go. Beer gut. Cool. Bacteria gut. Not cool

A single beer is not worth it.

  • That guy looks like a Xenomorph is just about to bust out of his stomach.

  • Fishing tip: If you drop your beer in filthy water ditch it and open a new can
