Robert F. Kennedy Was Killed 50 Years Ago Today

Today marks 50 years since Robert F. Kennedy was shot in the Ambassador Hotel on June 6, 1968. RFK was a presidential candidate and probably the favorite to win had he survived the attack. He was shot by Sirhan Sirhan and was pronounced dead 26 hours later. Sirhan was originally sentenced to death, but it was commuted in 1972 to life imprisonment.

RFK served as Attorney General during his brother John Kennedy’s term as president until he was also assassinated in 1963.

I’m not an American, but I’ve always been a bit interested in the Kennedys. They were rich, they were all respectable people in positions of powers and they all liked to laid and get laid often.

Robert Kennedy is one of America’s ultimate what ifs. Nixon obviously ended up winning the election that he would’ve likely ran in. His assassination is definitely a definitive moment in history and his killing has had its fair share of speculation, even if its not as notorious as the conspiracy theories surrounding the killing of JFK.
