Disney Ups Their Fox Bid to 71.3 Billion

The bidding war for Fox continues between Disney and Comcast. Disney and Fox originally agreed on a deal at 52.4 billion but then Comcast offered a 65 million all cash bid. Then Disney was given a few days to try and create a counter offer.

Most of this business talk is a little confusing for me, but we’ll see how desperate Comcast is to try and acquire these assets. I don’t think its really a great think for the film or television industry if either of these companies wind up with Fox, but I’d rather see it in Disney’s hands because I feel like the properties have more value to them. Comcast already owns Universal.

I’m sure the longer the bidding goes on the longer we will have to wait for the deal to actually be finalized as well.
