John Williams is in the middle of working on what will probably be his last score for Star Wars. Williams’ score has been one of the trademarks of the whole Star Wars saga. Obviously, when you have to compose music for a movie Williams will be one of the few people fortunate enough to see an early cut of the movie. The Times in the UK reports that Williams really liked the early cut of Rise of Skywalker and has already written about 25 minutes of music for the film.
Its nice to see that Williams will get a chance to bring the saga to a close after more than 40 years of being associated with the property. Williams also made some comments about what it is like working at this point in his career.
“I don’t write any better than I did 30 years ago. Maybe not as well. I probably know more than I did 30 years ago, but I have less physical energy.”
I hope that Williams will get the finale he deserves when Rise of Skywalker drops in December.
