JUST A LAZY SUNDAY WITH SOME DR. PEPPER SMOKED PORK

I used Greatfruite wood (fallen Greatfruite tree behind my house) for the smoke. It’s a nice flavor but strong, so I didn’t use a lot.

I slowly cooked the pork for 7 hrs, and poured Dr. Pepper over it every 30 minutes or so.

Salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder was put on pork after it was pulled.

I made my barbecue sauce out of homemade Elderberry syrup. Elderberry syrup, brown sugar, cayenne pepper and homemade cane sugar (for thickness).
