Rage Against the Machine is Reuniting

Rage Against the Machine was one of most popular acts of the 1990s and are well known for being one of the best live acts ever. Although, they’ve spent most of the last 2 decades apart. They broke up in 2000 and guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk formed Audioslave, after Audioslave’s run ended in 2007 Rage did a reunion tour, but the band has been dormant since 2011.

Vocalist Zac de la Rocha seems to be the reason for the long separation as the other three musicians in the band play together regularly. They formed another band without de la Rocha called Prophets of Rage which featured Chuck D of Public Enemy and B Real of Cypress Hill. That band has been together since 2016.

It looks like the wait is over though as its been confirmed that Rage will headline Coachella in 2020. Only two dates are available right now, but it’s possible that more will arrive later.

Rage Against the Machine released just 3 albums of original material, the last being The Battle of Los Angeles in 1999.
